Each saffron crocus produces exactly three crimson stigmas, and they have to be picked by hand the morning the flower opens. Safronika concentrates that harvest into a standardized extract, so every capsule delivers the same amount of crocin.
Why standardize on crocin
Whole spice varies
Saffron sold as threads can differ several-fold in strength between harvests, growers and grades. You cannot dose something you cannot measure.
Crocin is measurable
Crocin is the carotenoid that gives saffron its colour, and it is the marker most saffron research is built around. Testing to it gives a fixed reference point.
Every capsule matches
Each batch is tested so that 175 mg of extract yields 3.5 mg of crocin. The capsule you take in month six is the capsule you took on day one.

Safronika is produced in Canada with our manufacturing partner Nutrimax Corp, under current Good Manufacturing Practices. Every batch is tested for identity, purity and crocin content before release.
There are no fillers, binders, artificial colours or flavours in the formula. The capsule contains the standardized extract and nothing else that is not needed to make a capsule.
